How can my family and friends view my Travel Journal?

Your family and friends can view the content of your Travel Journal that is marked 'public'. They can also view content marked 'family and friends' provided they have the 'visitor' password and your mobile phone number.

To view your Travel Journal, your family and friends need to:

  1. Go to visitmyjournal.com
  2. Enter your mobile phone number and the 'visitor' password.Click View.

Note: Do not give your PIN to family and friends, only your mobile phone number and the 'visitor' password.

How do I set up the 'visitor' password

  1. Sign-in to your account with your mobile phone number and PIN.
  2. In the top navigation menu, select My account then click Journal settings from the drop down menu.
    * The 'Journal settings' page will open.
  3. In the Journal details section, enter a 'visitor' password.
    * Please ensure that you create a password at least six characters long and that is different than other passwords that you use on the internet.
  4. At the bottom of the page, click Save.

Note: You can only set up one 'visitor password 'that is used by all your family and friends.

I want to prevent a friend from viewing my Travel Journal

If you want to prevent a friend who has your 'visitor' password from viewing your journal, you will need to reset the password. You then need to re-distribute the new 'visitor' password to family and friends you wish to view your journal.

How do I reset my visitor password?

  1. Sign-in to your account with your mobile phone number and PIN.
  2. In the top navigation menu, select My account then click Journal settings from the drop down menu.
    * The 'Journal settings' page will open.
  3. In the Journal details section, enter a new 'visitor' password.
    * Please ensure that you create a password at least six characters long and that is different than other passwords that you use on the internet.
  4. At the bottom of the page, click Save.

Note: Your old 'visitor' password will no longer work. You need to give your new 'visitor' password to family and friends. Do not give your PIN to family and friends.
